AMISSA

Proudly presented by The Lost Boys Collective, AMISSA (ah-mee-suh) is a small boutique festival located in the deep wilderness of the West Kootenays. It is a true Lost Boys experience complete with a treehouse, a pirate ship and even a human-sized foosball. Winding paths may even lead you to a lost treasure map to follow with hints and clues to the plunder scattered throughout the grounds.

Catering to those wanting a more intimate festival experience with all the amenities of a large-scale festival, AMISSA delivers a musical emphasis in the areas of vinyl day-time sets, deep house and bass-driven nights and disco mornings.

AMISSA featured international acclaimed artists as well as some of the finest DJs and producers from Western Canada and the Kootenays. This grassroots event combines the love of art, music and the outdoors. The directors pride themselves on curating a solid music line up coupled with local visual artists and vendors.

How do I get there?

The festival is located in Meadow Creek, BC. Remember to save your directions offline before you head off as there is no cell service (or WiFi) at the site. Kaslo is the closest townsite with available reception. Given that there is limited parking at the event, please try and carpool.

To get there you will take your first left at the Meadow Creek Store, from there, follow the road until you hit a fork, and take the left with the blue flagging tape. From there it’s a short drive around a corner to the laneway which will be on the right. There will be a green spray paint sign that says Amissa along with more blue flagging tape. Follow that laneway until you get to the gate for check-in.
